The
Executives’ Association of Greater Orlando (EAGO) is Orlando’s
oldest and most effective business exchange organization. EAGO works because
its members work hard to provide leads for fellow members and to do business
with one another whenever possible.
The organization’s large membership greatly expands business opportunities
beyond what smaller leads groups are able to provide. And EAGO’s restriction
of one member per business category assures that when a fellow member needs
the type of services you provide, you will receive the opportunity to earn
that business without competition from within the organization.
Presenting your business
Each Wednesday morning following brief announcements, a different member
gives a presentation on his or her business. As a new member, you will
want to schedule
your talk as soon as possible for several reasons:
Explaining what your company does will enable your fellow members to provide
you with better leads
Enlightening other members regarding the types of services you offer will
also lead to business from within the organization!
After your presentation, members will also be better able to recommend
your company to their employees, clients, colleagues, friends, and
family
Another productive way of presenting your business is via the rotating
weekly visitations. Periodically, you will have the opportunity to host
your fellow
EAGO members at your place of business and really enlighten the membership
on what your company does. Business almost always increases right after
these open houses.
Lead generation
After the weekly member presentation, each member then has the opportunity
to announce the leads he or she has brought to the meeting. The more you
strive to bring business to your fellow members, the more business you will
receive. This is the essence of what makes EAGO so successful, and why there
is a waiting list for many of the business categories. This reality also
explains why some members have been in the organization over 25 years!
Other benefits
As a member, you will have the opportunity to meet and establish business
and professional relationships with some of Central Florida’s leading
firms in a wide variety of professions and industries. Normally it would
take years to establish such a sound networking basis.
By the virtue of your membership, you will also be able to participate in
the ongoing exchange of business information allowing insight into trends
in the community region, and state. There is also a constant interchange
of ideas and procedures that can be invaluable in the management of your
own business.
Lastly, members are required to meet specific attendance requirements at
our weekly breakfast meetings and scheduled open houses. Experience has proven
that the more participation by members in the Association, the more rewarding
everyone’s membership will be.
